Performers, voice artists & authors

Your craft can make a story feel alive.

The pause before a surprise. A character’s voice. A moment of warmth. You know how to make someone lean in. Bring that gift to a story for children.

Why you are invited

Tell a story.

We are inviting your interpretation, not just your name. Voice, timing, emotion and character can turn a page into an experience a child wants to return to—and a reason to pick up the book.

A manageable beginning

Your first contribution

Explore one story, one performance and a session shaped around your availability. Begin with a conversation about the story you would enjoy telling.

What helping could look like

Bring the part you know best.

01

Make the words your own

Bring character, rhythm, humor and emotion to a selected story.

02

Build a creative world

Discuss tone, illustration, sound or a collaboration with another artist.

03

Open a door

If you enjoy the work, recommend a voice or creator you think children should encounter.

Before you commit

Clarity is part
of the invitation.

Before you agree, ask for the story, intended audience, preparation and recording time, production approach, credit, compensation or donated-time terms, and proposed use of your name, voice and likeness.

Questions & clarity

If you want to do more

Let a good experience lead.

A second reading, a referral, creative advice or mentoring an emerging artist could follow. Each is a separate conversation, led by your interests.

The first contribution should be worthwhile on its own. No continuing role, outcome or level of involvement is assumed.
